Two weeks of Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) sanctioned show jumping competition will be offered at the Ottawa International Horse Show from July 10-14 and July 17-21, 2019, at Wesley Clover Parks in Ottawa, ON.

Formerly a national-level competition, the first week of world-class show jumping has been upgraded to a CSI2* while the second week remains a CSI3* event, giving riders double the opportunity to compete for world ranking points under FEI rules.

“We are so pleased to announce the addition of an FEI two-star competition to our schedule,” said Karen Sparks, Executive Director of Wesley Clover Parks and an FEI-level competitor herself.  “Running two weeks of international competition was always where we were headed.  With the support of Ottawa Tourism, we have been able to make that leap.”

Wesley Clover Parks’ unique location in the heart of Ottawa, conveniently located at the Moodie Drive exit and the 417 highway, makes the Ottawa International Horse Show one of the few Canadian show jumping tournaments to be held inside city limits.

“Ottawa is a great city to host world-class sporting events and showcase the best Canadian show jumping athletes alongside local and international competitors,” added Sparks, who has been at the helm of the Ottawa International Horse Show since 2015 and has been instrumental in showcasing hunter and jumper sport to a diversified public audience.

This year, spectators will again enjoy international show jumping competition on the expansive grass grand prix field at Wesley Clover Parks.  Acting as course designer for the first week of competition will be 2016 Rio Olympic course designer Guilherme Jorge of Brazil while Germany’s Olaf Peterson, Jr., will set the tracks for week two.
