Tripple X III, ridden by two-time Canadian Olympian Tiffany Foster, was named the Equis Boutique Best Presented Horse Award recipient during the final week of the 12-week Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) held from January 11 to April 2 in Wellington, FL.

Equis Boutique, a luxury tack and apparel shopping experience, sponsors the Best Presented Horse Award at each International Equestrian Federation (FEI) Horse Inspection held throughout the 12-week WEF, as well as at other FEI-sanctioned events throughout the United States.

The FEI Horse Inspection for week 12, sanctioned as a CSI4* by the FEI, was held Tuesday, March 28, at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center (PBIEC). Led by President Peter Doubleday (USA), the FEI Ground Jury evaluated the appearance and condition of the 143 horses jogging for FEI competition, and selected Tripple X III, owned by Andy and Carlene Ziegler’s Artisan Farms and 2008 Canadian Olympic Champion Eric Lamaze’s Torrey Pines Stable, as the Equis Boutique Best Presented Horse Award winner.

Tripple X III, a 15-year-old dark bay Anglo European stallion (Namelus R x Nissan Catango Z), was prepared for FEI competition during week 12 at WEF by Foster’s groom, Caroline Holmberg.

“This is all because of Caroline’s hard work,” said Foster, 32, who piloted Tripple X III as a member of Canada’s fourth-placed team at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  The stallion previously helped Great Britain win team gold under Ben Maher at the 2012 London Olympic Games. “I think it’s great that she gets acknowledged and recognized for all the hard work that she invests in the horse. She does put a lot of heart, soul, and effort into this, and it really shows in how beautiful he looks all the time.”

Holmberg is a long-time member of the Artisan Farms team.  She accompanied Tripple X III to the 2016 Olympics, and has cared for him throughout the WEF season.

“This award is a great honor,” said Holmberg, who originally hails from Sweden. “It is nice for us to receive something for our hard work. I like everything about working with this horse. He is a stunner, so he makes my job easy, and he was very well-behaved at the jog this week.”

Of the Equis Best Presented Horse Award, Foster noted, “The jog is an important part of the show, and we all want to make sure that our horses are in top form, sound, and happy. Anything sponsors do to make parts of the show feel special is much appreciated.”

Holmberg was recognized for the Equis Best Presented Horse Awards with a commemorative vest, while Foster was presented with a $100 gift certificate to Equis Boutique.
