Entries Are Now Open for the 2024 Capital Challenge Horse Show

Entries for the 2024 Capital Challenge Horse Show, to be held on September 26-October 6 at Prince George’s Equestrian Center in Upper Marlboro, MD, are now open. They will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
The prize list is available at www.CapitalChallenge.org, and entries are all electronic via the Show Management System™ electronic entry platform. Entries close September 1, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. EDT.

The 11-day show begins on September 26, kicking off with the newly named four-day CCHS Equitation Showcase presented by BIGEQ.com, which runs through September 29. The Equitation Showcase hosts age-level divisions for junior and adult equitation riders, the EMO Insurance Agency/USHJA 3’3” Jumping Seat Medal Final – East, the Taylor, Harris Insurance Services (THIS) National Children’s Medal Final, the Palm Beach International Academy (PBIA) North American Junior Equitation Championships, and the North American Adult Amateur Equitation Championships.
Following the CCHS Equitation Showcase, the 2024 schedule includes hunter and jumper competition featuring World Championship Hunter Rider (WCHR) Hunter Challenges for amateurs, juniors, children, ponies, developing professionals, and the coveted WCHR Professional Challenge, where this year’s prize money has been increased to $50,000 on Wednesday, October 2. The WCHR Professional Finals also returns, where the top six hunter riders in the country compete head-to-head on Friday evening, October 4.
Adult amateur riders will contest the Ariat National Adult Medal Finals with their equitation mounts, while the best future horses of the sport at the 3’ and 3’3” heights will go up against each other in the KASK/Vogel Green Hunter North American Championship.
The 2024 edition of the Capital Challenge Horse Show will also host the North American League (NAL) Finals. Six NAL divisions will be showcased: the 1.10/1.15m Amateur Jumpers, presented by SmartPak; 1.10/1.15m Junior Jumpers, presented by EquiFit; 1.20/1.25m Junior/Amateur Jumpers; 1.30/1.35m Junior/Amateur Jumpers, presented by Parlanti; Children’s Hunters, presented by Charles Ancona, and Adult Hunters, presented by R&R Hunter Horses.
