Equis Boutique honored Ali Wolff and Caya with the “Best Presented Horse” Award during Week 3 of the 2016 Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) in Wellington, FL.  Equis Boutique will present the award during all 11 weeks of International Equestrian Federation (FEI) sanctioned competition at the 12-week WEF.

WEF 3, designated as a CSI3* by the FEI and sponsored by Adequan, saw Wolff and Caya place fifth in the $35,000 Illustrated Properties 1.45m Speed on Friday, January 29.  The class marked Caya’s FEI competition debut, and Wolff plans to continue aiming Caya toward 1.45m speed classes after recently moving her up from the High Amateur-Owner Jumper division.

“You really need to know how to present a horse, especially if you are going to go abroad and represent the USA,” said Wolff, 26, of New Albany, Ohio.  “I've grown up with George Morris and Michelle Grubb who make you go out in the morning and practice jogging.  It's such an important concept when you get up into international level.”

Wolff was presented with a commemorative plaque by Elena Couttenye of Equis Boutique in recognition of the “Best Presented Horse” Award, as well as a riding helmet from Equis Boutique partner brand KASK.  Each week, Equis Boutique will present a featured product from one of their partner brands as the prize for “Best Presented Horse”.  The prize for Week 4 will be a new pair of Parlanti Essential boots.

“The prizes are a motivation for everyone,” said Wolff.

While Wolff presented Caya at the FEI Horse Inspection, she gave credit to her groom Mary Glier for her hard work preparing Caya, a 10-year-old grey Holsteiner mare owned by John Wolff.

“We have a method, and she's so great at getting the horses ready,” said Wolff.

It was the second time that Wolff earned the “Best Presented Horse” Award.  At the Tryon Spring 8 horse show in Mill Spring, NC, she and Brianda, also owned by John Wolff, earned the distinction.

Equis Boutique will honor one horse and rider with the “Best Presented Horse Award” each week of the 2016 Winter Equestrian Festival, running through April 3.  At the weekly FEI Horse Inspection, the ground jury will evaluate overall turn-out of horse and rider to determine the award winner.
