Eve Jobs (USA) claimed the Martha Jolicoeur Leading Lady Rider Award on Sunday, March 3, following the $209,000 Lugano Diamonds Grand Prix. The grand prix capped off the eighth week of competition, designated as a CSIO4* during Nations’ Cup week, at the Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) in Wellington, FL.

Jobs, 20, started WEF 8 with a top-ten finish in the $36,000 Equinimity WEF Challenge Cup Round 8 to qualify for Sunday’s grand prix riding Venue d’Fees des Hazalles, a 14-year-old Belgian Sport Horse mare. The pair went on to finish second in the $209,000 CSIO4* Lugano Diamonds Grand Prix.

“I’ve actually never been in the top three in a 4* grand prix and this is the best finish I’ve had,” said Jobs, who went head-to-head against Samuel Parot (CHI) in a two-horse jump-off on Sunday. “It’s really exciting for me and my whole team. My horses were jumping exceptionally well this week and I felt really confident coming into today. The Leading Lady Rider Award is such an honor, especially during CSIO week. There are so many talented lady riders, to be recognized is a really big honor.”

In recognition of her Leading Lady title, Jobs was presented with a bottle of champagne, bouquet of flowers, and gift certificate for a shopping spree at Hunt, Ltd.

A leading South Florida real estate broker and part of the elite Douglas Elliman Real Estate Sports and Entertainment division, Jolicoeur has supported WEF as an integral sponsor for the past nine consecutive years.  Throughout WEF, the Martha Jolicoeur Leading Lady Rider Award, given in memory of fellow realtor and horsewoman Dale Lawler, is presented weekly to the high-score female rider based on performances in the weekly WEF Challenge Cup Series and grand prix events.

The Martha Jolicoeur Overall Leading Lady Rider Award will be presented during WEF 12 to the female rider who accumulates the most points throughout the 12-week Winter Equestrian Festival. So far this year, Erynn Ballard, Laura Chapot, Margie Engle, Tiffany Foster, Lauren Hough, Beezie Madden, and Jessica Springsteen have earned the weekly honor and have set their sights on claiming the overall title.
