New for 2024: World Equestrian Center – Wilmington Offers Affordable Summer Schooling Show Series

Wilmington, Ohio – World Equestrian Center – Wilmington (WEC) is pleased to introduce the 2024 Summer Schooling Show Series. This new series at WEC – Wilmington will include five weeks of affordable competition opportunities for exhibitors in its state-of-the-art outdoor arenas in classes from the walk-trot to the 1.20m jumpers.

Exhibitors can expect the same quality, efficiency and family-friendly environment of a rated WEC horse show throughout the Summer Schooling Show Series. The premier facility, $70 stalls, $25 entry fees, schooling opportunities and inviting courses make WEC – Wilmington the ideal place to bring along young horses and riders.

World Equestrian Center – Wilmington Summer Schooling Show Series Dates:

• June 14 – 16, 2024
• June 28 – 30, 2024
• July 26 – 28, 2024
• August 23 – 25, 2024
• August 30 – September 1, 2024

Featured classes will be offered, including three $500 Hunter Derbies and two $500 Gamblers Choice classes, with entry fees at $45. Hunter fences will be set in sections of 2’, 2’6” and 2’9”-3’. Jumper fences will be set in two sections at .95m and 1.10m. Hunter Breeding classes recognized by Kentucky Hunter Jumper Association (KHJA) will be available for yearlings to six-year-olds.

Each show is sanctioned by World Equestrian Center, KHJA, Illinois Hunter Jumper Association, Ohio Professional Horseman’s Association and Ohio Hunter Jumper Association (pending). Circuit points will be accumulated through the show series. Circuit Champions will be awarded in September.

Guests are advised to make lodging reservations at their earliest convenience to ensure they secure accommodations close to the show grounds. Reservations can be made at WEC.net or by calling 937-382-0985 ext. 3.

• The Wilbur Estate –The Wilbur Estate is a stunning plantation-style mansion with five elegant luxury suites. Wilbur’s Estate is centrally located on the showgrounds, just steps from arenas, stabling and The Paddock Club. Free WiFi and VIP parking are included in your stay at Wilbur Estate.
• Cabins – Each cabin sleeps up to six guests and is within walking distance from the arenas and barns. Two of the cabins are handicap accessible. Free WiFi is included.
• Home Away From Home Park – Directly across the street from the horse show entrance, 130 Home Away From Home units have two or three bedrooms with a fully equipped kitchen and living and dining room area. Free WiFi is included.
• Camping Sites – World Equestrian Center – Wilmington has many camping sites equipped with electric, water and sewer for $225 per week (or any portion thereof). You must reserve these on your entry form or stall reservation form. Please check in at the horse show office for a pass prior to parking your RV.
