Russia's Liubov Kochetova and her own Balou du Reventon earned Equis Boutique's “Best Presented Horse” Award during Week 9 of the 2016 Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) in Wellington, FL. Throughout the 12-week WEF running through April 3, Equis Boutique is sponsoring the “Best Presented Horse” Award at the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) Horse Inspection during all weeks of FEI-sanctioned competition.

WEF Week 9, designated as a CSI5* event and sponsored by Douglas Elliman, featured the $380,000 Douglas Elliman Grand Prix on Saturday evening, which Kochetova and Balou du Reventon qualified for after posting a clear round in Thursday's $130,000 Ruby et Violette WEF Challenge Cup Round IX. At the FEI Horse Inspection, the pair impressed the ground jury, led by David Distler of Norwalk, CT, to be named recipients of the Equis Boutique “Best Presented Horse” Award.

“He is such a pretty stallion that we don't have to do any special work to prepare him,” said Kochetova. “Everyone loves him because he's quiet and sweet, and he behaved that way in the jog this week. People notice his personality and immediately like him.”

Balou du Reventon's groom, Juan Gallegos, prepares the ten-year-old Oldenburg stallion for each FEI Horse Inspection, and Kochetova gave him credit for their “Best Presented” win.

“We have won this before, and I hope we can again,” said Kochetova, who was also a recipient of the Equis Boutique “Best Presented Award” in Tryon, NC, last year.

Kochetova characterizes Balou du Reventon as her best horse at the moment and has plans to point the stallion towards the 2018 FEI World Equestrian Games™ in Bromont, Canada.

“He is still young and inexperienced and there are a lot of difficult competitions in the next year, so we will see how he goes, but that is the goal,” said Kochetova.

Kochetova and Balou du Reventon were presented with a commemorative plaque in recognition of the “Best Presented Horse” Award by Elena Couttenye of Equis Boutique.  Kochetova was also awarded a new pair of breeches and a show shirt from Equis Boutique partner brand, Manfredi Equestrian.

Equis Boutique will honor one horse and rider with the “Best Presented Horse Award” each week of the 2016 Winter Equestrian Festival, running through April 3.  At the weekly FEI Horse Inspection, the ground jury will evaluate overall turn-out of horse and rider to determine the award winner.

Equis Boutique is a shopping experience for the discerning equestrian and offers the most convenient and luxurious choice for top equine brands to dress the horse and rider. Featured brands include Parlanti, Manfredi Equestrian, KASK Helmets, Anna Scarpati, Kingsland Equestrian, Kentucky Horsewear, and Dy’on, as well as a variety of imported specialty bits and Official FEI and Just World International merchandise.
